O for a Faith – (Romans 4:20)
O for a faith that will not shrink
Tho’ pressed by ev’ry foe,
That will not tremble on the brink
Of any earthly woe,
Of any earthly woe.
That will not murmur nor complain
Beneath the chastening rod,
But in the hour of grief or pain
Will lean upon its God,
Will lean upon its God.
A faith that shines more bright and clear
When tempests rage without,
That when in danger knows no fear
In darkness feels no doubt,

Lord give us such a faith as this
And then whate’er may come,
We’ll taste even here the hallowed bliss
Of our eternal home,
Of our eternal home.
Here is Love (Psalm 85:10-11)
Here is love, vast as the ocean,
Loving-kindness as the flood,
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom,
Shed for us his precious blood.
Who his love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing his praise?
He can never be forgotten
Throughout heav’n’s eternal days.
Let me all thy love accepting,
Love thee ever all my days;
Let me seek thy kingdom only
And my life be to thy praise.
Thou alone shalt be my glory,
Nothing in the world I see;
Thou hast cleansed and sanctified me,
Thou thyself has set me free.
In thy truth thou dost direct me
By thy Spirit through thy Word;
And thy grace my need is meeting,
As I trust in thee, my Lord.
Of thy fullness thou art pouring,
Thy great love and pow’r on me,
Without measure, full and boundless,
Drawing out my heart to thee.
